My Approach
A theoretical approach helps counsellors understand their clients and inform how they work therapeutically with them

My Approach
I am qualified in Integrative Counselling, drawing on different therapeutic approaches to inform how I work with each client. At the core of my practice is a relational approach - I believe that a strong, genuine therapeutic relationship is key to healing and growth.
A trauma-informed approach underpins all of my work. I aim to create a safe, inclusive, and accessible space where people feel heard, respected, and understood. Rather than asking, “What is wrong with you?”, I ask, “What has happened to you? How have you made sense of what happened to you, and how has it affected you?".

Together, these perspectives guide my practice, reflecting my passion for recognising the profound impact that life experiences can have on mental health and wellbeing.
Philosophy
If relationships are the cause of suffering, they must simultaneously be the cause for healing.
How I Work
Short-term or long-term?
Following an assessment, we will agree together on the length of our work, whether that is short-, medium-, or long-term. Counselling is a collaborative process, and we will regularly review how things are going to ensure the sessions remain helpful.
weekly, biweekly, OR MONTHLY?
Sessions can be scheduled weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, and the frequency can be adjusted as needed.
in person or Online and telephone?
I work exclusively remotely, offering online and phone counselling. This approach aims to promote accessibility, flexibility, and the comfort of receiving counselling from a space where you feel at ease.
Phone and online counselling can be a convenient and flexible option for people living in remote areas, those balancing work or family commitments, or anyone who prefers to access counselling from the comfort and privacy of their own space.
