Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Yes, I am fully qualified and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to their ethical guidelines and commit to ongoing professional development.
I offer individual counselling for adults, focusing on a relational and trauma-informed approach. I currently only offer online and telephone counselling for flexibility and convenience.
I do not work with children, young people (under 18), couples, or families. My practice is focused on individual adult counselling.
Online and telephone counselling allows us to meet remotely through a video platform or phone. This format aims to offer flexibility and convenience while maintaining a supportive therapeutic environment.
All you will need is a telephone or a device with a stable internet connection, a working microphone, a webcam if attending by video, and a quiet, private space where you can participate in our session without interruption.
If you’re unsure whether counselling is the right choice, I encourage you to get in touch for a Pre-Counselling Consultation. We can lightly review your current challenges and see together if my approach feels like a good fit for you.
Yes, everything discussed in counselling is confidential, except in specific circumstances (e.g., if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others). More details are in the Counselling Agreement, which will be shared with you prior to our first session.
Feel free to get in touch via the contact form on my website (above), or using the contact details provided at the top of this page.

We will begin with a free 10–15 minute pre-counselling consultation (remote). If we are both happy to proceed, we will agree a time for the assessment session.

Before the assessment, you will be asked to complete a client intake form, which helps me gain a fuller understanding of your needs and identify any relevant information or potential risks that may not have been fully discussed during the consultation. This ensures an informed decision about whether my way of working is suitable for you.

If appropriate to proceed, the assessment will go ahead as planned, and following this, if we decide to work together, we will agree ongoing session arrangements.
Yes, I offer a free 10-15 minute Pre-Counselling Consultation (remote).
My fee is £45 per session. A discounted fee of £35 is also available for trainee counsellors and psychotherapists who are required to attend personal counselling as part of their course requirements.
Each session usually lasts one hour, and we typically meet weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, depending on what is agreed.
